The regional arm of one of Northern Europe's oldest car distributors — operated 14 legal entities across three countries on five disconnected vendor systems. Möller Digital Baltic, formed to look at the technology landscape from above, consolidated the lot onto Hermetis.
How companies operating in two or more of these markets moved their HR and payroll onto one platform — what they kept, what they replaced, what changed in their operating cadence.

Hermetis is used by organisations operating across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland - typically companies with multiple legal entities and workforces distributed across two or more of these markets. Industries include automotive distribution, banking and financial services, retail, and manufacturing. Customers range from a few hundred to several thousand employees per group.
There's no fixed size limit, at either end. Most customers fall between a few hundred and several thousand employees per group - Kronus runs around 600, Luminor around 2,500 - but what matters isn't a headcount band. It's whether fragmented HR and payroll, across multiple entities or countries, has started carrying enough administrative cost to be worth consolidating. We'd work through that with you against your own operation.
Hermetis is built around the legal and payroll requirements of the Baltics and Poland rather than any single sector, so the customer base spans industries - automotive distribution, banking and financial services, manufacturing, and retail among them. Published stories include a regulated bank (Luminor), an automotive distributor (Möller), and a manufacturer (Kronus). The common thread is multi-entity or multi-country operations where local compliance has to be exact.
Yes. We publish detailed stories for Luminor (banking), Möller Digital Baltic (automotive) and Kronus (manufacturing), each covering what the customer ran before, what was replaced, and the operational result. We publish stories as customers approve them, and we don't retrofit numbers - every figure is one the customer measured and stands behind.
There's no fixed limit. Hermetis is built to run multiple legal entities in a single instance, across more than one country and legal regime, with country-specific rules applied automatically. In practice the structure is shaped by how payroll needs to be organised per country rather than by any cap in the system. We'd map your entity and country setup during a technical scoping conversation and configure the instance around it.
Where a customer is open to it, we can arrange a reference conversation so you can hear about the implementation and the day-to-day directly. The best place to start is a meeting with us - we can talk through which of our customers' situations most resembles yours and what a reference call could cover.
Licensing is based on three things: the number of Legal Entities, the package you choose and the number of active employees. Final pricing is quoted per engagement after a discovery conversation in which your specific scope is mapped.
Hermetis runs on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure (Google EU Cloud) within the European Union, and is NIS2- and DORA-aligned and GDPR-compliant. Each Legal Entity's records stay within its own country's jurisdiction. Access is role-based on a need-to-know basis, every access to and change of employee data is logged for GDPR Article 30 purposes, and retention rules are applied automatically per data category. A high-availability option adds geo-distributed redundancy with automatic failover and a 99% uptime target.
One meeting is enough to walk through what a consolidated view of your workforce would look like across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland — and what it would take to set it up.
